teen for psychotherapy

Welcome! So glad you're committed to your teen's well-being! Our Clinicians always say "Every teen benefits from therapy, some teens need it". So, let's get your teen the benefits... and see what he/she needs.

Adolescent Psychotherapists require specialized training and experience. For instance, ages  6 and 16 years old will vary significantly in development phase, communication and comprehension abilities. Therapy tends to take between 12 - 50 sessions, sometimes more, sometimes less... sometimes involves the parent in the teen's session, sometimes teen alone with Practitioner and parent(s) in separate consultation.

MRC Clinicians use a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Relationship techniques to help teenagers achieve the wellness they are seeking. These techniques have been shown in lots of research and clinical history to really work. And, everything is tailored for their age and stage of development, their particular needs as well as in line with each family 's culture and values.
