When there is a persisent question or concern about your happiness or behavior that needs further understanding, therapy or coaching should be considered.

In many cases, a young adult chooses Dr. Hartman for her particular techniques, style, or specialty areas:

  • individual therapy with young adults (ages 20 - 25 years)
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques
  • specialty with females (although Dr. Hartman also helps males)
  • Motivational Interviewing techniques
  • solution-focused, short-term coaching

Common issues that Dr. Hartman treats are anxiety, phobias, OCD, depression, divorce, family stress, job issues, relationship disatisfaction, ADD, and adjustment.

Dr. Hartman often helps young adults with the sometimes complicated transition between living at home with one's parents to succeeding independently on one's own.
